INTEGRITY Training Guide

The INTEGRITY trainings and courses aim to empower students for responsible research conduct and research integrity through evidence-based, scaffolded learning. INTEGRITY combines high quality training in research integrity with innovative modes of engagement in order to bring ethics alive, thereby equipping the next generation of researchers with the capabilities to conduct research in a responsible manner and to address new and unforeseen research challenges.

The tools and materials of INTEGRITY have been designed and adapted to every stage of a researcher academic career, starting at high school level. Below are the project’s tools to qualify High School Students, Undergraduate Students, PhD Students, Researchers, and Supervisors in responsible research and to stimulate critical awareness regarding integrity issues in research practice. These materials make it possible to implement workshops fully or partially autonomously, learn more about some topics related to the research integrity, and some hands-on activities.

Responsible Research through supervision, mentoring and working together

The goal of this course is that PhD candidates learn how and why supervision, mentoring and collaboration are key ingredients to support Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR). At the end of the course PhD candidates will be better prepared to recognize and constructively deal with challenges that they can face when collaborating with others during their PhD research.

The RCR through supervision and mentoring course is designed to stimulate supervisors to become aware of which issues are relevant in supervising and mentoring. More specifically, mentors will get a chance to reflect on research integrity within their own research practice.
