What is this about?
The harassment of scientists is a complex problem. In the 21st century, complex problems are often addressed through written guidance – and indeed, there is a proliferation of guidance on the harassment of scientists, at the institutional, national and global levels.
With this document the PREPARED team would like to raise awareness about the existence of these threats because freedom from harassment for scientists is essential.Why is this important?
Every day around the world, scientists are being abused and harassed online. They are being attacked on social media and by e-mail, telephone, letter and in person. And their reputations are being smeared with baseless accusations of misconduct.
