A cross-university group to support the broader aspirations of the University of Glasgow to strengthen its positive research culture. The group functions as a steering group, meaning its members take into account a broad range of aspects that shape the research culture. The group monitors the progress of current policies, implements pilots and innovations in researcher development and research culture, advises on communications regarding research culture, foresees in suggestions for future directions, and creates content for the Research Culture Survey.
Why is this important?
This group comprises staff from multiple backgrounds and disciplines, all focusing on the research culture within the institution. As a result, the group oversees different important aspects and levels with regard to stimulate a positive research culture: from training to data protection and codes of conduct (see also: Research Culture Statement).
