Medical students' decisions about authorship in disputable situations: intervention study
What is this about?
In this non-randomized intervention study, authors explored whether formal instruction on International Committee of Medical Journal editors (ICMJE) authorship criteria influences medical students' perceptions of authorship dilemmas. They also explored whether they perceive authorship as a conventional or moral concept.
Why is this important?
Medical curriculum prepares medical students for their future profession by teaching them the facts and rules of medicine as well as other aspects of medical profession, such as professional behavior and ethics.
