Open Access Policy at Czech Academy of Sciences

What is this about?

The Czech Academy of sciences comprises 54 research institutions that perform a broad range of research. The CAS encourages high quality research and the dissemination of results to the widest extent possible, so that its relevance and reach are maximized. Accordingly, member institutions are encouraged to adopt an open access policy.

Why is this important?

The CAS assumes the responsibility of uploading electronic versions of research output on a digital repository, and ensures that it is made available to the public. Publication embargoes that are contractually required by journals will be respected. Different forms of research output such as articles, teaching material, book chapters and presentations are covered by this policy.
