What is this about?

The Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Climate Action Strategy 2024–2027 sets out how SFI will integrate climate action and environmental sustainability into its funding, research activities, partnerships and operations. Its overall aim is to support Ireland’s transition towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient and sustainable society. The strategy is organised around three pillars. The first focuses on funding excellent research that addresses climate change, sustainability and biodiversity, while developing the skills and talent needed for the future.
