The Slovak Academy of Sciences have developed the ethical code of the conduct of research. The code is available in Slovakian and in English. The code describes:

1. General principles
2. Principles of scientific work
3. Principles for publishing research results
4. Principles for assessment, review, evaluation and expert activities
5. Principles of behavior towards colleagues and students
6. Violation of the ethical principles of research and development
7. Process of resolution of contentiuous ethical issues
